Anyone know what is the issue with Hitachi 2TB HD (HDS722020ALA330) - System dectected 2 drives but no disk info on the page.. I have 1.07 firmware. Thank you!

Try the latest beta. New drives were added, and I suspect 2TB drives would be on that list.

I have the same problem.
I tried upgrading to firmware 1.08 and 1.09, but its now worst, the DNS-323 now only detects 1 drive.
Please help!
Thanks!

I'm using 2 Hitachi 2TB drives without any problems, with firmware 1.09, and JBOD. Been using them for about 4 months now. My only problem is this box is just so dam slow the max speed i can get is 14MB! My old Buffalo Linkstation pro get 22MB. both are using Hitachi 2TB drives, and set for GB network jumbo frames. I wish I found this forum before I purchased this thing. Nice feature but bad performance. I was hoping for a firmware upgrade to help with performance like a newer Linux kernel, and samba version! Don't think its going to happen, looks like i'm going to have cut my losses and move on.

I hear you on this. I've had my DNS-323 for a couple of weeks and it's performance is atrocious...I'm currently backing up one file back to my workstation at a breakneck speed of 1.3MB/s. This is even after I've aligned all of the partitions so that performance simply won't degrade...But to no avail. This one file is the most important so I'll cut my losses and reformat both of the drives and see what happens. My next purchase will be a Synology DiskStation which will fix things up nicely. I'll relegate the Dlink to some other task, I suppose.
