Title: High-Gain replacement antennas for DIR-825
Post by: Zeebra on January 04, 2010, 10:36:00 AM
Has anyone found any 3rd party dual-band replacement antennas that work with this router?  I'm looking to increase the range specifically on the 5GHz band for my HD streaming and I'm having a hard time finding antennas.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try these: http://www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=21679

Gave me about a 20% boost at 50' distance with two wood frame walls between.  I can't promise anything, but for the cost of two antennae, it just may be worth it.

Let us know if you do give them a try or find something else worth trying.

if you look further down through the DIR-825 forum, you will find this exact same topic.  Some folks ordered those L-Comm antennas, and found the $16 price was for a single antenna, not two.

I don't remember seeing anyone post that they really improved their signal, or just worked..

Look below, you'll find the topic.
