Title: DWL3200AP firmware update
Post by: e5z8652 on January 05, 2010, 01:52:50 PM
I am posting here as I cannot find a DWL-3200 topic group to post in.

I have a trio of DWL-3200AP revision B WAPs. These came with firmware 2.40 and I want to upgrade them to firmware 2.50.

When I upload the firmware via the WAP's web page, the process hangs on step 1 ("uploading firmware") at 99%.

My workstation is on the same subnet as the WAPs in question, and this is a wired connection.  My workstation's firewall is completely disabled.

I have tried Firefox on Windows, IE8 on Windows, and Iceweasel on Debian Lenny.  All browsers hang at the same point.

I have deleted & re-downloaded the firmware files.  All downloads were from dlink.com, not a 3rd party driver site.  I could not find an md5 of the zip file, so I can't check authoritatively but the file sizes of the downloads appears to be the same.

Ideas?

Please clear the browser cache before you attempt to upgrade the firmware a fresh. If that does not resolve the issue, do an incremental upgrade starting with 2.45 and then 2.50.

I have the same issue, tried cleaning out the browser cache, still stuck at 99%.

I am having this same issue as well.  I have two with version 240, would like to upgrade both to 250.  Tried the incremental upgrade, as well as clearing the cache, no luck!
Thanks

Hi...
I had the same problem and the unique way to solve be to restart to default config, clean browser cache and upload the incremental firmwares... in my case, 2.40 -> 2.45 -> 2.50 -> 2.55

before all i made a backup of my config file... and after restore that i be happy...

thanks for all and good luk
