Title: Stuck booting up! "system is booting........."
Post by: Iax on January 06, 2010, 11:35:05 PM
My DNS-343 froze,  I was copying a file and windows popped up an an error, and then I couldnt connect with the file system or the web interface.
The Power button did nothing so I unplugged, waited a bit and then plugged it back in.
It is not stuck at "System is booting...." and is unconnectable.
its been stuck for like 20 minutes now.
I tried unplugging it again,   still stuck.

Whats happened? and have I lost all my data?

I have a raid 5 setup with the latest firmware, 1.03.

Problem solved!
Well, incase this comes up for anyone else,   it just solved itself.
It was stuck at "system is booting..." for atleast an hour,  I went to sleep thinking that it was dead, but in the morning it is working fine.  So if it happens to you just leave it booting overnight and it will maybe fix itself!
