Title: DWL-G122 C1 disconnects on WinXp. Event error 4202 - TCPIP
Post by: edubir on January 07, 2010, 12:21:54 PM
Hello,

I have a DWL-G122 Ver C1 and it disconnects on WinXP after a few minutes of connection. I have to unplug it and plug it again and it another few minutes it will also disconnect.

I reinstalled WinXP SP3 to avoid old windows issue. Same happens.
I tried to use drivers version 3.00 and 3.30 downloaded from Dlink web. Same happens.

Further investigation everything points to the following event viewer error: "Id: 4202 - Source: TCPIP"
"The system detected that network adapter %2 was disconnected from the network and its network configuration has been released. If the network adapter was not disconnected, this may indicate that it has malfunctioned. Try updating the network adapter's drivers."
This error seems to come that the ANIO service that is installed with the drivers gets hung and produces this error in TCPIP layer.

Can anybody help me?
Regards,

Hi !

This behavior happens when the WLAN password is wrong.

Try the drivers update too.
