Just installed a DIR-615. It replaced a Netgear Rangemax that had a slightly longer range. I need to extend it further. I had been using a Linksys WRE54G range extender, but it seems it will not work with the DIR615. Any ideas as to what I can do? Can you use the DWL-710 with the 615? I have seen several of them on Ebay forsale or should I consider replacing the antennas with a 7db gain antenna?
By the way I am operating only on G. All of my devices are "G".

4 b/g standards it is required to you, that a point of access and the client were in line of sight and had no on paths of this visibility of handicapes (arbours, buildings and so forth).
In any case the standard b/g needs to C aerials each other.

What would happen if I changed my configuration from G to locked N? Will it improve things even though my adapters are mostly G?

Personally I select only-N-.
CUZ, it is required to less time 4 information exchange between devices....
Selection stability and a service mark...

Can set the routers web page under Setup/Wireless/Manual to Single N mode if you have devices that support the N mode band. Not all do.
I would recommend if your trying to extend the range that you review this for helping:
