Title: How to block msn messenger in DFL-860 - SOLVED

Would someone please advice on how to block msn messenger (not hotmail) via the DFL-860 configuration?

In spanish: Alguien podría indicarme cómo bloquear el Messenger de Microsoft (no el correo de Hotmail) mediante el firewall DFL-860?

There are a couple of previous threads that I am sure you can find on blocking P2P or IM traffic.  It is always a split answer, you can block the most direct route, but blocking perfectly these services will require a L7 gateway.

Hola Tengo entendido que bloqueando el puerto 1863 TCP se puede lograr que no conecte el messenger

Tambien en el IDP hay unas firmas que pueden servir para bloquearlo, prueba con las del apartado POLICY_IM_MSN

It's working using POLICY_IM_MSN.
