Has anyone been able to stream HD content (1080P with HD audio) over their USB attached storage device? This would need to be able to transmit up to 50Mb/s which currently i can't :'(. I just need to know if I'm surpassing the design of the device or I have a faulty product/setup. I am currently unable to stream over air OR through the LAN ports on the back of the router through the USB ???. Please someone confirm or deny my findings!!!!

I can stream HD bids from the Shareport, but its too choppy to be of use. I have to plug my external directly into my system's USB port if I want to stream any video to, for example, my PS3 or a laptop.

All routers with USB NAS have low transfer speed(hardware limitation), so trying another brand isn't going to help. Get a real(gigabit) NAS device if you want to stream video.

"Don't try to drive a Formula 1 race with a Porsche". Get a dedicated NAS to do so, they USb enabled routrers offer tghis connectivity as a bonus without compromising the primary task: routing.
