Title: CANNOT PRINT AFTER UPGRADING TO WIN7 ...
Post by: deeteedub on January 12, 2010, 11:40:18 PM
Hello everyone.  I have an HP dv9543cl laptop.

I'm running the following on my DIR-655:

Firmware Ver:   1.32NA

Shareport Ver:  1.1.0 R1 (SXUPTP Driver: 3.3.4.0)

I recently upgraded from Vista to Win7 and suddenly I can no longer print to my HP C3180.

The Shareport Utility is able to see my printer and shows it as connected and available.  When I choose "print" from a document, my printer shows up in the device box, but when I click print, nothing happens.

I also have an error message now in my Device Manager that reads:  "UDS Master Bus of Kernel USB Software Bus by TCP".  I've Googled this error message and have seen references saying that it is a problem related to D-Link routers.

I've been reading complaints about the current Firmware Version and am wondering if anyone knows if the problem is being caused by buggy firmware release?  Any ideas to fix this problem?

In the printer config, there's a port (e.g. LPT1, etc.)

Go check and make sure the IP address in there matches the current IP address of the printer.  Since you're probably using DHCP, it could have changed.

Sounds like your printerdriver is not configured correctly.

If you did a straight upgrade leaving all the previous software installed, you may have to uninstall shareport and then reinstall it.
