Title: Cannot stop DCS-920 from recording

I am trying to record only after detecting motion.  I have read the other threads and tried it all.  I cannot get the camera to stop recording.  Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the red alert for event detection above the live image stream in D-ViewCam2? If you playback the recording does it actually create a continuous recording? By design if an event is triggered the alert will be triggered and will remain lit up until the application is closed. It will still run and record in the background when closed unless closed in the tasks by the clock. This design is to make sure you know that an event was triggered if you walked away or something however I think there should be a button to reset the alert.
