I just read that the DIR_615 should be expecting a firmware update soon.
D-Link issues fixes for router vulnerabilities
http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/print/9145139/D_Link_issues_fixes_for_router_vulnerabilities?taxonomyName=Security&taxonomyId=17
Anybody heard when we should expect it ready?
I have the version B and I have seen other discussions that indicate that the exploit can only be used inside the local network which wouldn't be a concern inside my home. I have seen where a D-Link technician is asking to run a utility that must indicate if the exploit is patched and that this information or article is actually old news or an exploit on old firmware. Anyone know what this utility is or where to get it?

article mentioned the 615 B series as affected, no mention of the current C series. but most likely any firmware would fix the specific issue. however I still have hope that they would fix all the issues.
it seems that most people do not try to use the advanced settings, otherwise there would be more people on here wondering why the settings are not working entirely- port forwarding, dmz, website filtering etc

Properties of the software from Dlink always are in stage BETA!!
It is possible to crack any router.
Especially 615 REV.A >:(
