Title: Power output levels
Post by: Krusher on January 21, 2010, 04:20:18 PM
When I replied to another topic, this got me thinking that I should ask in a separate post.

Does anyone know what the power output is for Low-Medium-High settings on the DIR-655?  This might be a question for the moderators who know the specs (i.e. Lycan).

Thanks.

Do you want it in dBm or mW?

dBm is fine; I can convert it if necessary.  :D

Basically, I'm asking so if I go from Medium to high or low power, I can tell how much signal I'm going to gain or lose.

hehe i'm sure there are technical documentations somewhere rather than trying to find out where the aw_TP_0 though 2 is declaired.

I went from Medium to Low to test it out and I didn't see any change.  Although this isn't a real test; I would have to hold it in the same position both times.  (1.33NAbeta02).

Well, if nobody knows...I'll keep mine at Medium because it seems to be happy there.
