Title: DIR-615 How to enable g capability?
Post by: kurtish on January 22, 2010, 05:08:35 PM
My new all in one wireless printer could not be found while i was running the install wizard. After a bit of searching on the epson faqs, i fould out that the printer only works with wireless b and wireless g, and it recommended making the router g compatible. How do i make my router compatible? i have looked all over the internet and can not seem to find the answer.

thanks

The standard setting on this router is "Mixed N/G/B"  so it already working in G mode.  Click on this emulator here: http://www.support.dlink.com/emulators/dir615_revC/310NA/login.htm
(http://www.support.dlink.com/emulators/dir615_revC/310NA/login.htm) Then click "log in" (no need to type pw or that image security thing)
Click "Wireless Settings" on the left
Scroll down to Manual Wireless Connection Setup
Scroll down to Wireless Network Settings and look for "802.11 Mode"

There you will find what you are looking for :)  Now you can do the same by logging in to your actual router this time and following the same steps.  Your router's setup will be here:  http://192.168.0.1 (http://192.168.0.1)
