Ok, so I have the classic problem of the roommate who torrents now and then when I'm trying to game and sucks up all the bandwidth. So I set up gamefuel so that I have top priority for everything and he has last priority for everything, yet I am still getting lagged by him. It is helping, but I am still pushing 150+ pings when I normally sit at 40 while on the network alone.
Is there any way that I can throttle his connection so he can't suck up most of the bandwidth?

Not sure if this router will do any throttling. How about you put your Roomies PC on a wireless connection then you can throttle back by using the Modes, try putting him on G mode only, if he's still hammering the connection, go to B mode only. Worth a try. G mode give 54Mb speeds, B mode would slow him down to 11Mb if needed.
You could still leave his lan cable connected however tell him to disable it when your gaming, and use the wireless. When your not gaming then let him use the Lan connection.
Let us know how this goes.

I thought port forwarding was suppose to help with this, but I could be wrong. This seems to be a very complete guide on what to do:

Gamefuel doesnt help with this?

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it. I downgraded his wireless connection to B, capping him at 11 Mbps but he is still lagging me. Guess I am going to have to go digging deeper and try this port forwarding. If you can think of any other suggestions, feel free. Thanks again.

Perm, check out my gaming and gamefuel sticky instructions. Something isn't right if he's still lagging you while on B mode. He shouldn't be. I have a buddy that has a similar set up accept his son's xbox is on wifi on G mode only. They don't have any issues on lagging accept for the lag that comes from the XBL servers. Is there any throttling options on the DL program he uses? I know that some DL programs offer some options to limit up load and DL speeds. Just another option to check on.

I just used the Basic > Wireless > Transmission Rate : 1 and I am still getting lagged. What is gamefuel doing/not doing when I can throttle his connection so hard but still get lagged? He must still be sucking all the upload and getting priority somehow.

Ya theres got to be something he's doing to hog. You shouldn't be seeing any lag. Specially if is on wireless B mode only. Are you sure his Wired connection is disabled in Networking? Suppose you could try to set up a port forward for his PC but you'll need to know the port he's using for the DLs. Just not sure if that will help, it could though.

Oh, he only has a wireless connect. Guess I am going to have to ask him to look at his settings and see what he is doing. If only there was an upload throttle option. :(

Hmm. Since you mention that he is on wireless, have you tried using the Basic/Wireless menu to enforce a lower transmission rate? I'd say drop the rate to maybe 10% of your line speed, and see if that doesn't put a damper on his leeching?
Transmission Rate
By default the fastest possible transmission rate will be selected. You have the option of selecting the speed if necessary.
It's worth a shot.
Hope this helps,
