I recently purchased a DNS-321 the other day and was excited to see it came with driveclone pro (didn't know this so it was a plus!). Unfortunately after I installed it and tried to do a disk image backup, the program immediately crashed. I went to their site and noticed that 7 is the current version (5 came with the NAS) and they want 30 dollars to pay for it. They don't even support 5 anymore. I'm running windows 7 32-bit, any ideas? I think it's bad for a company to package old/ outdated software that won't work on current OS systems.
Also tried the 30% off code that was on the cd and farstone said that it's not a valid code?
Am I just out of luck and got an old software or is this how all the packages come? Outdated software and bad coupon codes?

Can't help with the specifics on this, but my experience with most of the "freeware" that is bundled with products like this is worth every penny you paid for it. Or less.
"Free like a puppy" as they say...
Get Acronis for your backups and images and never worry about them again.

The CD that comes with these units never goes anywhere near a drive for me. I agree with the previous post, most of that software us pretty useless.

I didn't know the CD had anything useful on it, oh yea, it doesn't. ;D
Acronis is a pice of software you must pay for but the cost is low and it is a high quality program. I seriously don't think there is anything better except possibly something custom.
