Title: extending range of dlink 624 using hawking hi gain antenna
Post by: SUPERSKYAAA on January 28, 2010, 04:44:36 PM
Does anyone think I could extend the range of my macbook pro to access a community dlink 624 router in my apartment building.  I was thinking of getting a Hawking hi-gain 300N USB dish adapter that plugs into the side of my notebook.
The adapter is made specifically for a mac and I hope it would be able to access the Dlink router.
I can get reception in one area of my apartment from the notebook directly to the dlink,
but am trying to access it from my entire apartment.  The Dlink is a a community router and I can't change any setting on it.  My apartment is only about 70 feet from the router.
