Hey everyone. So I've been having lag problems for sometime now and a total newbie when it comes to routers. I originally had a linksys wireless router and upgraded to d-link dir-655 hoping the lag would go away. For the first few days all was well, but now I'm having lag problems again. I currently have 3 wired connections (2 PS3s and 1 PC) and 1 wireless connection (Laptop). I'm not sure if its the router causing this or perhaps something else?
Here is a little more info and would appreciate any help on this matter.
- Laptop and pc both running Windows 7
- ISP: Roadrunner, Download speed: 15mbps, Upload: 760kbps
- Recently upgraded the router firmware
If you need anymore info I will provide it.

Do a QoS test on the wired PC with the 655 as a gateway and without the 655 (plug the PC straight into the modem). Obviously to this with no P2P or downloads on any of the computers.

If the QoS is relatively the same then it is a problem with your ISP and have them investigate. If the 655 is causing QoS and Jitter issues, then there might be something you can do like disabling the automatic QoS uplink engine on the 655. Repost your results either way.

Hi,
Make sure you don't have a neighbor piggy-packing on your network/internet.
Did you set up wireless encryption and such things ?

Do you have SecureSpot enables, if so, disable it.
I had to disable it once again because the Securespot services are having issues. Its happening monthly.
