Has anyone else had problems with the DNS-323 dropping out of the network?
This happens on several occasions, for instance when I'm streaming movies to my moviestreamer. When this happens I get a IO Error from the streamer.
And when I check the DNS-323 through my PC, it has "vanished" from the Network. All are hardwired in the network.
If I refresh the network on my PC several times - the DNS-323 finally shows up again. Very irritating! :(
Everything is connected through my DIR-655 router.
I'm running the 1.08 beta software on the DNS-323, but this started already when I was running 1.06 on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Krissi

Sounds a lot like my problem. I have turned off hibernation of the disk. My DNS have had static IP all the time. If it doesn't help, I'll try the reset.

I think this is more likely an issue within your machine.

I need to get a new one?

This has happened to me as well. Seems to be a MS Windows thing as I am still able to access the NAS from other clients. I will also try disabling the hibernation feature.

My main problem is not from Windows, but from my Syvio mediastreamer. It can drop out in the middle of streaming content.
