Title: Can 1.13NA be downgraded to 1.01NA if needed?
Post by: jhelstrom on February 03, 2010, 12:24:53 AM
Can a router running 1.13NA be downgraded to 1.01NA, or is it the same as the previous versions that do not allow downgrading to the earlier 1.01 version?

The answer is NO.

I didn't want to be the brave one here but too late now. Two months and no reply and the release notes this time did not state firmware can't be downloaded. When I tried to upload v1.01 I got this message:

UPLOAD FAILED
The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.

If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.

The Gateway will not be reprogrammed.

Flush out the NVRAM Before you Re-Flash Your Router Updat

Before and after you proceed.

now after the fires time, at the end when you plug in but are still holding the paperclip to the reset:
when you remove paperclip you browse to 192.168.0.1,
You should see a loader that is unfamiliar, use it to browse to the bin you wish to load to.

Of course, you wish to have the bin file set in a location on your hard disk before proceeding.

ROLL BACK D-LINK DIR-825 FIRMWARE TO 1.01 (Fix Here)

For VER:A1 this seems to be the best functioning F/W at this time.
