Many web pages work fine, other hang... or take 10 minutes to load. Sometimes it's portions of pages that take 10-15 minutes to load.

I'm running the 1.33NA firmware.

Sounds like the DNS relay issue that has been brought up many, many times on these (and other) forums. I've tried turning off DNS relay and hard coding primary/secondary DNS servers from my ISP... I've turned off nearly every feature as well... nothing works.

Is there a fix coming? I have a DGL-4100 that I'm connected to right now, works great (firmware from 2006 though). Would just like to know that I haven't wasted my money... I specifically purchased the DLink instead of the Linksys gear because I already had the DGL-4100 and had a great experience.

Please let there be a fix coming soon...

If the solutions you tried do not work I believe it is not a specific router firmware issue.

How about double DHCP, NAT on your LAN and the clientbased network config?

Do you have Secure-spot enabled? If so, try disabling it and see if that helps.

I posted in the beta section because 1.33 was beta up until a few days ago...

I seem to have some strange conflict with Zone Alarm and 1.33, but the default Windows Firewall works fine.  (Same symptoms you had.)  If you have ZA, try disabling it right after the hangups occur (use "Game Mode") and see what happens.

If you don't have ZA, nevermind.  :D

Thanks for the replies. I've tried everything...

Turn off DHCP, set static IP/DNS info
- Browsing web works, but many sites timeout or load veeeery slowly

Turn off every feature possible: firewall, dmz, advanced dns, dns relay, wireless, everything...
- Same symptoms

With DNS relay off, set DNS to ISP's DNS servers
- Same symptoms

Windows firewall off, no ZA
- Same...

Setting primary DNS to router IP, secondary to ISP DNS IP
- Same...


Feels hopeless you know? ;/

Check if your virus software is checking for secure web sites. AVG has this option. Switching it of reduced the circling loading icon in Firefox.

The problem is specifically with the D-link router and I think some of them are just defective.

I connected to another wireless router from my notebook, NO PROBLEM.

I connect to my D-link router, I get hanging web pages and can't connect to some websites.

I went up and down the D-link configurations...  So have a lot of other people.  D-link is not properly supporting or fixing problems.

For Dlink support you need to call their helpdesk or sens an email to their support department.This forum is merely a 'user-help-user' forum.

Could be your router is defective, if you suspect this request an RMA through your supplier.

Some settings can cause issues with routers easily, so start by defaulting to factory defaults and configure the router step by step.
