Title: DIR-665 in combination with XP
Post by: Niekfct on February 06, 2010, 09:01:23 AM
Hi

When I try to connect wirelessly to my DIR-665 with two seperate XP pc's, sometimes they can't even find the network name. When it does see the access point, I get the message (freely translated from dutch) "can't find the right certificate". When I disable the security, I have no problem connecting.

My settings are:
802.11g only
54 Mbit/s
Visibility status: visible
WPA-Personal
WPA2 Only
AES
Group Key Update Interval: 3600 seconds
preshared key: yeah well I'm not gonna tell you that  :D ;)

Can anyone help me?
(ps. on Windows Vista /7, I have got no problems)

Hi,

I would be looking at environmental issues like nearby neighbors using the same channels and such....

I'm quite sure you have write wrong key. Have you CRTL-C  and CTRL-V the key?
Use tex 1234.......  to testing wpa2-aes config working then use 63 sign ascii key.

You only need this: KB893357  if you don't have SP3 in XP
