Title: Inbound filter failure on DGL-4300?
Post by: ketjak on February 06, 2010, 11:34:14 AM
Hi folks,

In this post (http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/582593-how-to-block-all-access-to-runescape/page__p__588798057#entry588798057) Bi0haZarD lists IP addresses for Runescape.

I am using a D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router running firmware 1.7, which it says is the latest firmware. I am attempting to block access using the Inbound Filter feature of the router, but it fails and we can still access Runescape.

When I block the range of IP addresses above, specifically by blocking the range:

216.180.254.134 to 216.180.254.134

for each of the addresses, as well as the IP address at the end of a tracert, even after rebooting the router I can still access Runescape.

A search for different IP addresses for Runescape doesn't turn any others up.

How should I configure the router to block access to Runescape?

Thanks,

Ket

Tough crowd. :) No one has advice? Not even someone from D-Link?
