Title: vpn to work
Post by: neilmalott on February 02, 2008, 12:48:32 PM
I am using sonicwall global vpn client to access my work.  since intalling the dir615 router, I can successfully log in to work, but not to my own computer.  I have verified that my computer will accept connections and that I am using the right IP address.  Any ideas??  Thanks

What is the hardware revision and firmware version of your router?  You can find this by looking at the bottom of the router, and checking the H/W ver: and F/W ver: section of the sticker located there. What I would suggest is upgrading the firmware. Did you enable the VPN Passthrough from the Firewall Rule under the Advance tab?

Also, where the operating system the same on both computers ie. the one that you could vpn in and the one that you could not?
Try also to disable any antivirus or firewall programs that you have running on your computer and see if it works.
