Ok my IP range in deflaut is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199. Ok I change it now to 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.103 because i have four things running and I put it on DHCP Reservation. Now my xbox 360 on 192.168.0.100 i think is better like that because is the first IP Address, so if you ip is 192.168.0.199 change it to 192.168.0.100 it seems better and faster for my online gaming and is first ip address for dlink.

If I'm reading you correctly, you're suggesting that the first IP address in your defined range is treated preferentially to the rest of the IP addresses?
If so, not that I've seen. I actually expanded my range to 192.x.x.100 to 192.x.x.250, and have not noticed an issue as a matter of fact, my power gamer box is on 192.x.x.120, and I have no issues with pings or latency.
What revision of the hardware and firmware is your DGL-4500?

wow 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.250 how many things are you running at your home.

I'm using the beta 1.22 firmware.

what does expanding your dhcp ip address range make it better.

I find that having 1-50 address range is efficient for most house holds. And i have 15 devices on my network. All are reserved. Leave plenty of room for others to connect or visitors. I don't even use the 192 address range. It's not written in stone that you have to use the 192 address on you LAN system. It can be any thing. Mine starts at 6.###.###.###. Make your LAN IP something that fits your needs and is easy to work with and remember. I made my IP address from my actual house address. Works great. ;D

Well, you do want to make sure you stick with reserved private addresses, or you won't be able to get to any external address that overlaps the addresses you've chosen.
Reserved Private Address Space:
Class A: 10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255
Class B: 172.16.0.0 through 172.31.0.0
Class C: 192.168.0.0 through 192.168.255.0
Reserved "Current network": 0.0.0.0
Reserved for Loopback: 127.x.x.x
So you might consider changing to the 10.x.x.x space to avoid routing conflicts.

I have no idea what you just said. Plus, mind not posting to a thread that is almost a year old? Slow down a bit, gather your thoughts and repost with some details. Thanks.

I recommend starting a new thread post regarding your questions and problems in the forum as this deals with something new and not really related to the OP. Be detailed in your post. Give us full details about the router, HW and FW versions, how it's connected, ISP service and ISP modem used. Wired or wireless? Devices and how they are connected.
