Title: Router Keeps Refreshing Connections
Post by: apostma on February 09, 2010, 06:38:08 PM
I am having a problem with our router. It seems that it keeps disconnecting or refreshing connections.
I don't really know where to begin. The router is setup with two wired connections (one PC, one PS3), and five laptop connections. The PS3 is setup in a DMZ and we are running a DSL router and then a VOIP router and then the Dlink router.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you need additional information, let me know!
Thanks!

Are you sure it is your D-Link router that is disconnecting the connections? Is your network heavily loaded (lots of downloads, especially torrents and other traffic)?

I know some of the people I live with do download, but it happens even when they're not around (and I check to make sure they're not downloading even when they're gone to make sure that's not it).
I've also had some issues with APIPA, thought I had it solved a long time ago but it just happened again with one of the computers on the network today.
Hopefully someone can offer some advice.
