We just got one of these routers.
modem + router downstairs
dad is downstairs.
we have 3 computers upstairs we want gigabit wired.
so im thinking:
DWL-2100AP -> gigabit switch -> computers
our broadband is 100/100 mpbs, would we get wireless full SuperG 108mbps speed?

No, it is not compatible with Super G.
11N uses a different channel bonding.
It supports the standard 54 Mbps only.

what's superg? if that's the linksys protocol then yes it is. There is a computer in here that uses the linksys wusb160 or something to that matter, that is a 108Mbs adapter and it connects at 802.1N over 108Mbps at times. But results may very. :P

SuperG is/was a technology that several makers used to boost regular G to 108 mbps I used it with my older netgear router (wgt-624) and associated adapters... Netgear went thru very similiar issues that we have seen with the 1.3X firmwares here to get those WGT-624 routers stable..... Eventually the forums disappeared and reappeared some weeks later all empty from several months of previous posts...some very inventful people came up with a whole slew of ideas tyring to get their routers stable.....

also note, that this "super g" functionality appeared in very early versions of the f/w. I believe 1.02 as I recall. However, it's disappeared in later versions even when formatting is turned off, but that doesn't mean the router doesn't support it, but most likely is enabled within the kernel itself, so there is no need to enable or disable it.

Super G (with 108Mbps) was only supported by older Atheros chipsets, it was never in the 11N as the channel bonding of super g extended channel six to the upper an lower side, however N takes either loxer or upper channel.
Super G was a "turbo" mode of Atheros and never standards.
Other features as packet bursting are still used in 11N and might help to make older Atheros equipment faster with 11N but not 108 Mbps.
I owned some devices of the super G line: DGL-4300, DI-624, DWL-2100, DWL-G520/650, DWL-G810 and they did never reached more than 54 MBps with the DIR.

no one said anything to do with 802.1n. In fact this thread doesn't have anything to do with N or channel bonding.
