Hello, I have installed the new Beta 1.09 and the Online Backup app.
After setting up my free trial account I keep getting an error that says: "Null Value Access"
Anyone know what is going wrong?

The bottom part of the config screen has a couple of entries - to restrict the backup either by time of day or by bandwidth usage - try setting either one or both of them.
The other possibility is that you have created the free account but not activated it - by clicking on the link that they email to you.
I had the same error on the first go around and one of the above got rid of it.

Thanks, fordem,
After installing the 1.09 beta I hit the reset button on the back of the unit.
I have double checked the account... it is active.
have triple checked the username and password... same as the ones that log me in to the web port of ctera.
I have tried the two little boxes you suggested... together and seperately. no dice.
I have tried using my own pass phrase, and letting the unit chose its own....
I have mapped the tcp port on my router to the dns-323's IP number...
I have tried several different file folders to back up. Only one at a time. THe last one only had about 1G of data on it.
I don't get it. It shouodn't be this difficult.
I must be missing something elementary.
I opened a ticket at ctera, perhaps they can help.
Time to sleep, must have a brain cramp.....
Do you have any more ideas?
THanks again,

clutching at straws now...
Do you have gateway & DNS entries set on the DNS-323?

Please take a look at the following page. This should give you a good idea of the proper setup.

Clutching at the same straws....... ;)
The NAS is getting Gateway and DNS from the DHCP on my WRT-110 router. I have the MAC of the NAS mapped with a static IP assigned to it on the Router so it always gets the same numbers from the DHCP.
I followed the configuration via the video that tech support posted on this page.
It isn't that hard according to the video. I have done much more difficult setups in 35 years of Ham radio, etc..... So I must have something wierd going on.
Next I will delete the app, download anew and reinstall it. Perhaps I got a glitch in the download or install.
Thanks for your help.

SOLVED!
I deleted the Online Backup Ap.
Restarted the DNS-323
Downloaded the ap again and installed it again.
This time it worked.
Lesson learned... don't waste too much time pulling your hair out before reinstalling an ap....
Thanks everyone.

Well that is good news. I did see this popup on my screen as well and it is being looked into. If a simple re-install works for now that is an easy work around until official release.
