Title: Firmware 1.08 Final -instructions for new apps?
Post by: tfiveash on February 18, 2010, 03:41:21 PM
I am seeing new features and new apps for 1.08 final but if you don't know what they are or how to use them then they are kind of useless.  Therefore, is there going to be any kind of documentation on what they do and how to use them?  I might be interested in some of them if I knew what they were how to how to use them.  For example, what is Yahoo widget? I use mine in a business environment and I don't know if any of this new stuff would help.

Unfortunately the documentation has not been updated yet. We are working on it right now will have FAQs created up on our support website at dlink.com and I believe an updated manual explaining these features.

What about SharePort. i see that in additional downloads. How does that work. I'm currently copying the data off my dns-323 so that i can update the fw and format the drives with ext3. just wondering if i should put that on too.

SharePort has an HTML help file that looks pretty comprehensive, have you looked at it?

It has been pointed out in the DNS-323 forum that the SharePort component for the DNS-323 is not available on the US site.  Is that going to be supplied?  How does one use SharePort without it?
