I downloaded Easy_Search_4700 from the ftp but the package won't unzip - "easy_search_utility_4700.zip: No files to extract". Size of file is 3,848,565.
Is this a beta or a working release?

I just unzipped this, and there is a single file inside: DNS-323_C1_FW_v1.08_Easysearch_v4.7.0.0.exe
Sounds like you have a problem with your download, try it again.

This is the first time I have had a problem - Had no problem with any of the other files I downloaded. I already downloaded it 3 times with the same results.
Can anyone attach file to an email to me?
I just bought a DNS-321 for $88 (after rebate) from NewEgg and also need the latest Easy_Search for it.
All the downloads from the FTP site work fine except for the Easy_Search, same thing on both files/

Try clearing your Internet cache (Temporary Internet Files) and then try downloading it again
If you get an interupted/partial/damaged download the first time then that interupted/partial/damaged download can be stored in the Internet cache and each time you subsequently try to download it again you will get another interupted/partial/damaged copy from the Internet cache instead of a fresh download.

Must be McAfee - Used another PC that doesn't McAfee and it downloaded fine.
Thanks for replies

FWIW, there's no real reason you need the Easy Search utility anyway. I've never used it for the DNS-323 or DNS-321 I have.

Then how do you assign a static IP address, Name, & Setup the RAID? I was under the impression Easy-Search was needed for this.

You simply find the NAS using it's DHCP assigned address and configure it using the web interface. Piece of cake. ;)
