I thought this was a one off problem but now it has happened to 2 devices in 2 locations that have no connection to each other.
I setup the 1522 in Auto mode, get everything working for wireless activity and then some time (weeks or month) later I came back to check something and I have no way to get to the device. Even pinging does not respond yet the users are fine and not complaining.
This time I rebooted the device and it responded to about the first 12 pings and disappeared. I was directly connected - just me the wire and the DAP-1522. I did not want to reset the whole device as I did not have the settings with me but I find it odd.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour. The firmware was up-to-date when I last checked in November/December 09.

did you set it up with an ip in your routers subnet ? it come 192.168.0.50 , but my router is 192.168.1.1- 254 so i set up dap as 192.168.1.106 , i can now access it from anywhere in range

I had a similar problem with a DAP-2553. Took out the gateway IP from the LAN config page, worked just fine after that...

To Jerry: Yes I had within the network addresses I am using. As I said, it was working fine, could ping and web browse to it, but now it is no longer accessible.
To Marley: Very interesting. That would indicate a bug would you not agree?
