Title: Performance Hit DAP-1522
Post by: Taino718 on February 26, 2010, 11:15:23 AM
New to forum but not to Dlink products. Purchased Dap-1522 to replace separate Linksys switch and Linsksys WAP-54G access point. Configured DAP-1522 with static address and mix mode G/N. Direct connection via ethernet cable to DIR-655. Added static address of DAP-1522 to DIR-655 DHCP reservation list. Both DIR-655 and DAP-1522 share the same wireless channel, mode, and pre-shared key.

Since DAP-1522 is a gigabit switch and N access point will the network's performance suffer if I connect non "N" and "gigabit" devices to it? Advice welcome.

I don't think so.  I have the identical set up.

The DIR-655 is also a Gb switch.  ;)
