Title: SOLVED : Email alerts (GMAIL) with 1.08

Did install FW 1.08.
Email alerting (using GMAIL smtp) not working anymore.
It's been working with FW 1.07 for a while.

My settings

Login Method: Account
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Sender's email: myemail@gmail.com
Receiver's email: myemail@gmail.com
SMTP Authentification: Tried both ....

Still working fine for my account at Verizon, I'm also running 1.08

The only change we all had to make to get GMAIL to work in 1.08 was to the enable SMTP authentification check-box.

That's the only change I made with Verizon, it's worked for the DNS-323 and DNS-321 here.

I upgraded to 1.09 build 1 from 1.08 build 09 and my gmail notification also quit....Until I did a reset (button on the back) and a restart (from the admin screens).  then I retyped the info and it worked.  Might help for you.

 I am on Road Runner and it worked fine after enabling the SMTP authentication check-box.

I have been able to make it work with GMAIL.
Must use PORT #587.
SMTP Authentification must be CHECKED.
