If you hook directly to the router with a static IP can you ping the router?

Can your DFL itself ping the router?

Triple NAT'ing?

To make LAN > DFL > 2821, you should have NAT rule for ping (with ICMP service)

To make 2821 > DFL ping, you should make rule allow wan/wan_gw core/wan_ip ping-inbound
