Title: NAS Access Problem with 1522 as Access Point

I have two DAP-1522s, one configured as an access point and the other as a bridge.  I also have a DNS-321 NAS connected to the bridge.  It looks like this (---- = Ethernet, ~~~ = wireless):

This has worked well, giving both my desktop and laptop access to the NAS.

As an experiment to see how large media files would transfer to the desktop via wireless N as opposed to through a hardwired switch connection, I moved the NAS to the access point, like this:

Now, my desktop can "see" the NAS on the network, but it cannot access either the setup web page or any of the shared directories.  I can ping the NAS from the desktop, and can connect to it via SSH.  This is true whether I boot the desktop to Windows 7 or Linux.

Nothing has changed for the laptop, it is still able to see and access the NAS as before.

Everything but the laptop has a static IP address and the 1522s have their selector switches set to AP and Bridge, not AUTO.  I was expecting that connecting the NAS to the switch on the access point would be the same as connecting it to the switch on the bridge, but that does not appear to be the case.  Is there some change that I need to make to my network or access point configuration?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It turns out that the problem was caused by jumbo frames.

I had the NAS and the NIC on the desktop pc configured with 4000 byte frames.  When they were both connected to the switch on the bridge, everything worked fine.  With the NAS (still with 4000 byte frames) connected to the switch on the access point and the desktop still connected to the switch on the bridge, I have to disable jumbo frames on the desktop NIC in order to get access to the NAS.

Do jumbo frames not work across an 11n connection?

Have you enabled (i.e allowed) both options in the "WLAN Partition Settings" section in the Advanced tab?

Yes, both WLAN partition options are set to "Allow" on the access point.

At least they won't help as wireless has its own framesize, so all packets have to be "resized".
Better don't use them.

I thought jumbo frames didn't work on wifi period?

So is it possible to use to dap1522 together (ap/Bridge) to act as a bridged jumbo frame network?
