Title: Difference between 1.09 beta and 1.08 final?

I have read most of the posts over the past several months and still haven't found a definitive answer to the question... What s the difference between the two?

I upgraded from 1.08 beta 9 to 1.09 beta and have a few issues such as...

Check disk doesn't work.
can't get ssl working.
I wish I could make a user part of more than one group.  (this is nuts)

I do like the idea of the online backup, but am holding off judgment until I see final prices.

Are there any things fixed in 1.08 final that are still broke in 1.09 beta?
is there anythng in 1.09 beta that are not in 1.08 final, other than the online backup?

Would someone put a comparison into plain english, please?

I'm going to guess you didn't read the release notes for 1.09 build 01, right?

Yes, I read the release notes on 1.09 build 1, such as they are (one line about adding online backup)
But haven't seen much that details the difference between 1.08 build 9 and 1.08 final...
as in, What is behind the file size difference? 
or .. if there is a difference between 1.08 build 9 and 1.08 final, which version is 1.09 build 1 based upon? etc.

Well, somewhere in these forums, a D-Link person said the change was just the on-line backup, so I think the version notes are probably correct.

I asked the same question in an earlier post but never got an answer. The FW 1.09 file size difference strikes me - its about 750kB smaller compared to 1.08.

My upgrade to 1.08 breaks the DNS-323.

It gives two amber lights for the drive and the drives are not accessible.

Will this beta 1.09 fix the Bug?

Reset the NAS to factory defaults after upgrading the firmware.
