Title: Wireless disconnects during file downloading

Firmware: 1.32NA
AV: McAfee w/ firewall options
OS: WinXP
Wireless Card: Intel(R) Pro/Wireless 2200BG

My problem arises when I attempt to download files from just about anywhere.  I do not actually get disconnected, my bandwidth gets restricted down to 1mbps, effectively cutting my laptop off from the internet.  Resetting my wireless card fixes the connection speed. I have tried turning off all of my firewalls on the laptop with no change. Same with putting my computer in the DMZ on the router.  I appreciate any help with this.

increase the size of your RWIN setting.... go to dslreports.com under their tools section and grab a copy of Dr.TCP.exe and run it....set your rwin to like 200000 if you have broadband....

What is your routers QoS setting for your pc ?...perhaps disable traffic shaping entirely if its enabled at this point.

I run my router in vertical orientation....

Do you have a non-wireless pc to compare against for possible ISP throttling >? 

Are you set up according to the stickie for achieving 300 Mbps speeds ?  If not do so....

Download TCPOptimzer. I use that. Works awesome with XP.

Drag it over to 20000.
Modify all network adapters (or the one you want).
Check optimal settings.
Press OK.
