Hi
One of my drive crap out, in my dns-323 i had 2 x 500 wd
Bought a new WD SATA 500g caviar green and the drive is not seen by the DNS-323
I moved from 1.06,107 and 1.08 and same thing
Anyone as a clue

Did you test the drive on a computer outside the DNS-323? Have you tried it in each slot of the NAS?

forgot to say that I have 2 dns-323 and yes i did put in both and yes it does the samething
I have used 2 bran new drive also I tought that the drive that I bought was defective itis realy a dns-323 problem and probably firmware

I'd still test the drive in a computer. :)

i was going to do that any just to make sure but i tought hey this is the second new drive that i put in it and it does the samething in 2 drive dns-323 and the otehr as doen the same thing
But will try it over weekend and will see

Just covering all the bases. Once it's tested good in a computer, you'll be sure you're beating on the right piece of equipment. It's best never to ass-u-me what is happening. :D
