Title: WD Advanced Format Volume/disk scaning
Post by: GideonOmega on March 13, 2010, 10:20:38 PM
Can anyone confirm that using two of the newer WD advanced format drives in a Raid 1 format -- you are able to successfully do a volume scan and extended SMART scan?

I can run the quick scan ok -- but the Extended test hits 10% on either drive and stops -- (the process is still running but not using any cpu)

and I can't run a volume scan at all.

I'm guessing it is because the drives are currently not aligned properly but I would like to confirm.

I'm using two 1.5tb EARS
