Title: Can't connect to Canon MP600 printer on network
Post by: hanginghelmet on March 14, 2010, 08:11:38 AM
I recently installed the D-Link DIR655 router on my computer. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.  My problem is I can no longer connect to my Canon MP600 printer on any of my other computers in the house.  With my old router I was able to connect to it throug my home network but with this router I no longer can.  I am hoping it is just a setting I have to change.  Help anyone??  Thanks in advance!!!

The printer is hooked up to the main computer (same computer the router is hooked into) through a USB.

Hi,

Maybe check WLAN settings in advanced wireless.... and UPnP setting...

Swapping routers should really affect things like you are describing as long as the subnet hasn't changed, which it really shouldn't have....

Also verify if you have "hardwired" the IP ports for the printer rather than using the host computer's name....

What am I looking for in the WLAN settings?  Where do I find the UPnp settings and what am I looking for there?  I have no idea what you mean about the hardwired the IP ports
