Title: Power Issue - amber power light
Post by: Thankfulforurhelp on March 18, 2010, 11:18:15 AM
Hi

I have a Version C1 and have the latest Firmware (3.12NA) on the router. It works perfectly fine but then after a few days, everything quits working. The only light on is the power light and it's amber instead of green. If I reset the router by power cycling it, it works again at least for the next couple of days. Every time I reset it I have reconfigure my router again.

Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. Plug in the router and the D-Link logo lights up in green and the power light lights up in amber. I about every 5th time I unplug it and plug it in again the power light changes to green and the WAN LED blinks green.

Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution yet...

Sounds like you either have a bad power supply or its not drawing enough power. Do you happen to have it plugged into a extention cord or heavily loaded surge protector?

Not using a extension cord or surge protector. Just into the standard wall outlet. Perhaps it is the power supply. I may see if I can find one with the same voltage and current rating and test it with that.
