I use Trend Micro and have added Network Protocol Controls for Port 65534 to allow both incoming and outgoing...

You need to set up virtual service, if your router supports that. What you need to do is mentioned in the Userguide, but entails that you define external access via this virtual service where you supply local IP address and local access-port#, and select a free external port. Now you can access your webcam from external via the public IP-address of your connection and the new external port#.
Your Example:
Internal: Camera 192.168.1.14:65534
External: 71.202.245.224 and new port 65534 (or 81) over TCP/IP
Virtual Service Setup:
Local: 192.168.1.14 Port 65534
External Port: 65534 (or 81) for TCP/IP
Now somebody else can access your camera by 71.202.245.224:65534 (or 71.202.245.224:81)
(You might needs to open up/change secondary port on the 920 for pp, but that depends on type of access)
You could have used port 81 too, as that one is not one of the default ones in use
If you want be be certain to be independent of the IP-address assigned to you you can work with DDNS. This is a free service, but does require registration and selection of a logical name from the provider.
I hope this is clear enough to work with, but the UserGuide does provide most of this information too.
Hint: DCS-920 latest firmware is 1.03

Virtual Service is like Port Forwarding I think?
I have this set up for PORT 81 (as you suggested). And I changed the PORT on my dcs920 to be 81 as well.
Can you access the camera from the website? when I try to connect to the IP address iwth :81 it doesn't work, but from http://pramada.dlinkddns.com:81 it does.

Port forwarding is similar, but mostly not the same. On my routers they are different options... Essentially they do the same thing, just that Virtual Server allows unprompted external access, whereas port-forwarding might need to be instigated from inside the firewall. But please correct me if I'm wrong...
And port-forwarding assumes same port#, whereas Virtual server allows port remapping.
The supplied http://pramada.dlinkddns.com:81 does work. The difference is that ddns originates from within the firewall, whereas when supplying the IP-address you are going in unsollicited. The firewall will stop you.
That is the difference between Port Forwarding and Virtual Server, if I have learned my stuff well...
Are you sure your Router does not support Virtual Service? Most 'modern' routers make the distinction. My D-Link EBR-2310, for example, shows them separately.

Hi,
You know I just bought over $2,000 worth of these things and I can't get them to work either! I have tried forwarding all of the ports I can think of. And calling D-Link tech support?! LMAO!!!! That lady didn't even comprehend that I was using the D-ViewCam software. She was clueless as to her own product. Very painful conversation but I tried to power through. I kept asking her to forward me to someone with more technical expertise and knowledge of IP's and ports. But finally she just hung up on me. I tried to call back, hung up on me again. So if someone here can please tell me what I'm doing wrong that would be awesome! And despite all of the "UserGuides" I look through, none address this.
So here is what I have going on. So far I'm just working with one DCS-6113. I have it run through a Netgear POE router and that is connected to the new U-Verse Motorola NVG510. I can access the camera on a local machine when the settings for both it and the camera are TCP. I tried HTTP and nothing.
So on the D-ViewCam app on my iPhone I can see the server and the camera name but it just keeps spinning and I never see the camera video. And this only works when I am on the wifi of that same network and use the IP address of the server computer.
So why?
1. Do I not see video when even on my local network?
2. Why can't I see it at all from the outside world?
Note. To the world my IP address is 172.0.40.77. There is no "Virtual Server" on the NVG510 except for an optional pull down one that gives you only three ports and yes I tried changing the server to use those ports as well. I additionally forwarded all of those ports. There is a passthrough option on there that I can assign any computer on my network but that didn't work either.
If someone from D-Link is reading this and is a "real Tech" I can be reached at 501-230-3057 :). Thanks!
