Title: Cannot forward ports and SIP not working - real status?
Post by: helmet112 on March 22, 2010, 08:38:20 AM
Hi all,

I've seen some reports online of port forwarding not working, and others say it is, so I'd like to try to find out the real status.  I just yesterday bought an 825 RevB1 running 2.02NA.  Seemed to work great until I tried opening a single port for SSH to my home server (which doesn't work) and noticed my SIP VOIP phone for work isn't functional.

Does the 2.02beta2 sticky on this forum fix both those issues?  Any other tips?

If I can't find a solution within a day or so I'll just return the router.  I paid good money for this so I wouldn't have to mess with things anymore (spent too much time messing with DD-WRT on my old WRT54G), but if it can't do those 2 simple things it's pretty useless.

Thanks!

I hope that will help you

the only way I was able to forward port with the DIR-825 VER.B1 2.02na
was with the Virtual Server.
