Hello,
I have a trouble with my DNS-323, the adapter light blinks and blinks DLINK too. So it does not turn. I no longer have access to my file on the NAS. Have you got a solution to my issue ?
If yes, is it a simple solution?
Thanks a lot.

...the adapter light blinks and blinks DLINK too.
What do you mean with that? Which adapter light is blinking? Do you mean the power adapter?
If so, then i would say that the power adapter is defective.
-
Hello,
Thanks for your answer. Yes the light on the top of the sector adapter blinks all the time, and the NAS too.
All the light HDD/LAN/POWER(DLINK button) blinks at regular intervals.
So, my problem is my DNS-323 doesn't work properly, and is unreachable.
If i have to buy another one? Can i buy the sector adapter only? Because DNS-323 seems to be good.
Thanks.

Did you try a factory reset? If the lights are on, I'm guessing the power adapter probably isn't the issue here. There are no lights on my power adapter, so I'm assuming you're talking about the NAS box itself, right?

Hello,
I've tried one time to do a factory reset on the NAS nay, but no way. The light on the sector adapter (model JTA0512) still blinking, and as I said the NAS too. I think it's a power failure of the sector adapter.
If this is my sector adapter, where can i buy a new one?
Thanks,

What a sector adapter?

Sorry : Sector Adapter = Adapter.
I'm french user, The adapter is the electric switch you plug to give energy to the NAS.

Like this one, This is the adapter i have with DNS-323. JTA0512 adapter.

Well, that makes more sense now. :) I'm in the US, and the adapter I have is just a wall-wart, and it doesn't have any lights.
Now that I know what you're talking about, I'd suspect either the adapter or perhaps the power itself or the socket you're using.
-
That's the problem, I have a colleague who tested the adapter and who confirmed that it was defective. It does not even tension. So do you know where can i buy one, in France we have no Wall-Mart.

Well, I'm guessing you need to contact D-Link and get one from them. You could probably cobble one together, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble.
FWIW, I flipped my power brick over and noticed there is a light on it, I didn't realize that. It's a dual-voltage supply 5V@3A and 12V@3A, so any replacement would have to have at least those ratings. In addition, you'd have to use the plug they use to connect to the DNS-323.
-
Hello, Thanks for your answer.
I know about the dual voltages on adapter and that's my problem too. I've seen on the net a generic adapter with the same connector but it delivers 12v@2A & 5v@2a.
I think it's not sufficient for DNS-323.
The second problem is D-LINK need my bill of DNS-323 and i haven't got anymore.
Any idea ? Or solution ? Crying DNS-323 ...
Thanks a lot :)

perhaps ebay?

Hello guys,
The same power adapter is not avalible for shipping, but i've find one on eBay :
http://cgi.ebay.fr/Genuine-LACIE-710200-ACU057A-0512-AC-POWER-ADAPTER_W0QQitemZ260564485655QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLaptop_Adapters_Chargers?hash=item3caada8617 (http://cgi.ebay.fr/Genuine-LACIE-710200-ACU057A-0512-AC-POWER-ADAPTER_W0QQitemZ260564485655QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLaptop_Adapters_Chargers?hash=item3caada8617)
Would you say me, if this one or same (a shop in paris have it) will work on my DNS-323.
My problem is the connector, the same as genuine of DNS-323 but in fact this one is for LaCie BigDisk.
The voltage is the same... but i'm not sure, it will work with no damage on my DNS-323.
Thanks a lot,
