Title: Unable to access files offline - Windows 7
Post by: Boismassif on March 26, 2010, 08:29:10 AM
I would like to make folders and files saved on my DNS-321 available offline so I have access to them from my laptop when it is no longer connetted to my home network. The computer is running Windows 7 and the DNS-321 is connected to the network's router via Ethernet. My DNS-321 (firmware 1.03) is mapped  as drive letter 'J' on the laptop.

In Windows Explorer, I've activated the "always available Off line" option of the folder I wish to synchronize. Using Windows Sync center, I get the following error message for each file it is attempting to sync: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".

Any ideas?

I'm interested in finding the answer to this as well as I have experienced this identical error.

Did anyone find a solution to this problem?  I am having it now.

Thanks,
Chris

You need to turn on Oplocks on the folder share on the DNS-321 to make this work.
