Hi,
I just upgraded to 1.08 because of the mkv support.
Although the files are now displayed on my PS3 they're shown as "unsupported data". Am I doing anything wrong?
m2ts is working fine, though.

The DNS323 will not transcode, and since the PS3 does not play .MKV natively it wont work. You still need a PC in the middle of the DNS and your PS3 to transcode the file.
The new MKV feature now simply index's MKV to show up on settop players, if the end player doesnt natively decode MKV. It wont work

Oh, ok. I actually thought PS3 would be capable of playing mkv.
If there's no possibility of transcoding on DNS-323 I'll possibly need to stick with mkv2vob, I guess.

the processor on the DNS has nowhere near the power to transcode. It will never happen on this device.

mkv2vob is the best option anyway as it won't transcode/reencode your videos anyway - it rearranges the mkv format to make it compatible with the ps3's MP4 limitation.
Arguably the DNS could handle that process as its not doing encoding but someone would need to make it all happen via FFP but I doubt someone will.
