Title: seeking HOWTO -- 2nd access_point for two-story house
Post by: SaintDanBert on March 31, 2010, 02:38:41 PM
My house has two stories. Much of the laptop use is downstairs and I have it covered with a DIR-655.
Wireless use upstairs is sketchy ... lots of house between access_point and laptops.

How do folks suggest I add a second access_point for upstairs?

How do folks suggest I configure this second access_point?

Thanks,

I have a like situation. I bought a D-Link DAP-1522 Bridge/Access Point and configured it as a wireless bridge to the 655. It clones the 655 wireless settings and I was up and running in about a half hour. It is an N device and I get 108 Mbps.. Open box price was about $65 on Amazon.. cj
