Title: PS3 HELP! Setup? I need advise and will listen to all!
Post by: BEARnWOLF on April 01, 2010, 09:57:24 PM
I just ordered this router, I really just bought 2 of them one to put up and one to use. I will be setting up a PS3 wired! not wireless! I have a static IP address assigned to my PS3 which will be 192.168.0.15 and I want to use the game fuel. I also want to open all the ports for the PS3. Can someone or all that have a ps3 or anyone help me out with whats the best way to setup this connection. I want it to take most of my bandwidth which at this time is DSL 1.2 down and 750 up speed. Thanks ahead of time!

UPNP will automatically open the necessary ports for you. If you want you can open all the ports using DMZ.

- Go to advanced/firewall
- Enable DMZ and then put in 192.168.0.15
- Save settings

To set the highest priority under game fuel the rule will be as follows
- Enable
- Name: PS3
- Priority: 1
- Protocol: Any
- Source IP: 192.168.0.15 to 192.168.0.15
- Source port range 1-65535
- Destination 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255
- Destination range 1-65535
- Uncheck dynamic fragmentation
- Save

Make sure your automatic measured upload is close to what you should be getting as your upstream. If not manually adjust it.
