I have the DGL-4500 and I have to reboot the thing daily to get speed back.
What's up with that?

UPdate. It happens more if I choose MIXED G & B in the wireless basic area.
I have to choose that option because of one computer that connects wirelessly.
It happens less when I choose Mixed N, G & B
Now another question is: why does that 'OLD' computer only connect when choosing an option that excludes N?
Why do I have to reboot every morning?

Some of the older 802.11B adapters will become flooded and have signal issues from the 4500 when the N portion of the radio is running. This is a known issue and we are working to correct this.
As for the performance slowdown, is that across the board or just on the wireless connections?

I don't know. I have not tested the wired solution.
I bought the thing becuse the server, ftp and the music computers are hardwired and I wanted those fast.

My average DL speed via wireless g card is around 15000 kbps, my UL is around 2300 kbps.
Hardwired i run around 30,000 and 2900.
Could be your modem restricting your bandwith. If your modem is provided from your Cable provider it will restrict your speeds.
I purchased my own modem, Motorola, cannot go wrong.
