1. Must have the ability to be controlled by a computer, not only the TV (give us a web server that offers the same screen as the TV as a minimum).
2. Album view - Sorting the tracks according to their original order, not alphabetical.

1) You can control the DSM-520 for playback only using a media server that supports control points. This can be done using the DLink media server 1.09 software. Goto the Media files tab and at the bottom check the Select box for the DSM-520 on your network. Then select your media file from the list and double click to play.
2) You may want to try out some different media server software out there you may have better results for what you are looking for.

Thank you for the response. Are there media servers that are known to work considerably well with the DSM520?

Yes. Windows media player 11 works very well with the DSM-520 here is a link to an FAQ for setup instructions.

Twonkyvision and TVersity also work well with this device.

Thank you for the tip. I have tried all servers I could find. So far the best I found is Cidero that allows me to control streaming into the DSM 520 from my computer. The only problem that I face now is that the whole setup is very unstable. I find myself rebooting the DSM or restarting the software all too often after things get stuck.
I have some leads about what's going wrong from error messages I see in the Cidero logs.
I am also worried since the Cidero website looks inactive so I assume there won't be more releases coming out from there... If anybody reading this has experience with this setup, let me know.
