I just installed my new dir-825 router and configured it. I had a previous wireless router that was set up and I had file/printer sharing. With this router, I can not detect my printers/computers connected to the network via a WORKGROUP. I have a Macbook running OSX, a windows xp laptop, a vista laptop, a xp home server, and a vista desktop. As well as a wired hp photosmart printer, and a dpr-1260 print server. they all get ip addresses, but when i try to go to network places--> view workgroup computers, it does NOT work. It will show a message saying "Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permission to access this network resource. [...] The network path can not be found." :/ Can someone please help me? :) (the workgroup worked just fine on the old Linksys router, btw)
also, they all have ip addresses in the 192.168.1.xx range
*i think it is related to the NETbios possibly??

that's not a problem with the router, I've had the same problem at work on a wired network..

you know, the other thing you could do is..
turn off all of your computers....
do a power cycle on your router..
then boot up one of your computers at a time..
Maybe boot your home server, since it's probably wired..
then boot another computer and see if it can browse the network and see the server
then turn on the next computer and do the same thing.
I've had to do that at work before to get our network so it could be browsed.... but we have about 60 computers there, so it's a little more time consuming lol

ALSO, does anyone know anything about Mac's Snow Leopard and the device detection?? I think all of my windows pcs are communicating, but the macbook wont pick them all up... ???
